Celebrating 20 years of bold purpose
We continue our celebration of our 20 years
as a thankful community of women committed to supporting one another, growing in our faith, and promoting healing and wholeness
in our church, our society, and our world. These devotions, both new and selected from prior collections of devotions, are inspired by 20 years of stewardship and action as Women of the ELCA, a continuous reminder that out of our purpose comes true boldness.

Notes on the devotions
A variety of women who support and have been supported by Women of the ELCA contributed to this collection of devotions. From a staff member to a global education participant, a former churchwide leader to a grant recipient, they all powerfully reflect the purpose of Women of the ELCA.

As you read the devotion, pray with an open mind and for God's guidance. They will help you reflect, discern, and give thanks before an offering is received, so that you may continue to support the many important ministries of Women of the ELCA. These devotions can be used to open a meeting, Bible study, or special event. Each includes a biblical text, reflection, prayer, and offering focus.

You may wish to make a copy of these monthly devotions for every woman in your circle and unit, and even for women who are not currently involved in Women of the ELCA! Encourage women to use these devotions, as well as their own personal reflections on the biblical texts, as meditation starters for journaling and prayer.
